Baby Steps...

I started the Couch to 5K today! I did the Day 1 workout this morning. I am happy to report that I did not pass out or keel over... but I am sore already. Ashley did pretty well in the BOB Jogger. She had some of her own music "They Might Be Giants" on the iPod Touch tucked into the back of the jogger. I bundled her in her jacket and a hat, and wrapped her up in her pink blankie (it was like 45 degrees!) Popped her "Biolet" (Violet) puppy, and her Boone Snackball full of Multigrain Cheerios, and a sippy full of milk in there with her. We were off!

I used the Crystal Method "Drive" with the Couch to 5K app on my iPhone. I like it a lot. It even posts to Facebook when you do the workout! ;)

My mom took Travis for a couple of hours yesterday. Ashley and I went to the mall.

I went shopping for cute thongs... and stopped by the sale at Bath & Body Works.

The nap Gods shined down... because by the time we were home, both kids had zonked out in the van for naps.

So, I used that time wisely. I embarked on the G-Spot Challenge for the Mominatrix Resolution.

First I gave myself a manicure.... and went searching for some lube. Well, I was thwarted. The KY liquid that was in a packed box from the garage had expired in...wait for it!!! 2006. So... uh, yeah. That went in the trash, obviously.

Even without the aid of the helpful slippery stuff, I was largely successful. It feels kind of strange to get "re-aquainted" with my lady-parts post-kiddos.

Sooo... yeah. At least sex is remotely back on my radar. Even though we haven't "done it" (yet)in 2010... I think it has the possibility of a better outlook in that department than ohh... 2008 & 2009 combined! ;)

Sexual Resolution!!

Ok... Jumping on this bandwagon! I would be lying if I said that we are having enough sexy fun time. Or, lately... ANY sexy fun time. So, kicking off the New Year with a resolution that will hopefully kickstart the sexy fun!!

Thong dusted off... Planning on totally renovating my panty drawer. Or my drawer drawer. Heh. I am funny. ;) Anyway... Deciding to ditch all things stretched out, too big, too small, to old, or otherwise only befitting a few days of the month. Eh hem. Starting small here! ;)

Follow-through

I got up early yesterday and did the Wii Fit for 45 minutes. Yoga, mostly. It is deceptively difficult... and really kicked my ass. I am soooo out of shape. It is pathetic, really!

So, taking a break today, I guess. I am going to start the Couch to 5K program next week. I decided I am joining in on the fun with Leslie and the other sessy beeshes. Meaning, that in May, I am going to RUN a 5K! Ok, maybe it will kill me... but it probably won't! :)

Also, I am going to start the 365 Project for pictures. I always wanted to do it - just never motivated myself to actually follow through.

I want 2010 to be the year of follow-through. That is my One Little Word for this next year.

A new beginning...

Well, Christmas has come and gone. We were all spoiled rotten... And of course the kids were showered by all of their grandparents in addition to Santa and mommy and daddy.

I got a WiiFit Plus AND a Janome sewing machine. I am soooo excited to start working out once again! Also I have always wanted to learn to sew... And I hope to be able to figure out my machine with the help of one of my good friends! :)

I am really wanting to convert my walk-in closet into a crafting/sewing space. Maybe even rip up the carpet and use some of the extra Pergo flooring from the garage instead. I guess we will see what happens in the next year.

I want to re-focus on eating mindfully and healthfully. Exercising regularly, taking care of myself as well as everyone else.

I have this tendency to put myself dead last, so this is going to be far more difficult than one might expect.

Also, I need to look into getting my anxiety under control. This is most likely going to require some sort of medication. Weaning Ashley is the next huge milestone. I expect it to be 1000 percent more difficult than weaning Travis was for me.

Also, continuing to focus on minimizing the stress, anger, impatience that goes along with the anxiety issues...

I am hoping the improved nutrition, beginning an exercise program, and insisting on taking the needed time out for myself will help out greatly.

Taking it day by day... Baby steps... And hoping to do better, be better, feel better.
